HERE'S HOPE

SCARED YET?

SHOW-N-TELL

FLEXIBILITY

It may seem strange to some... that we included flexibility as one of our core-values. We feel, however, that the willingness to change our plans or adapt to an unexpected situation is a part of who we are. We are a Church of "over-extended" families with jam-packed schedules and we must be flexible.
Can you relate?

Here is an example of how our flexibility plays-out in our Church-Life...

Youth Sunday School
In our youth Sunday School the students seemed to ask questions that would lead into a different topic than what the lesson was teaching. Being a young Church founded by strong Christian families I believe that many topics covered in the youth material had to do with topics that most of the youth already had good knowledge of.
So, in response to this I have headed in a different direction. I ask the youth what subjects they would like to learn about. The first topic to come up was about the rapture, which lead into many other topics which I am teaching and preparing to teach. I am enjoying this study and I believe the students are enjoying the lessons as well.
The topic I started with was the comfort that Christ gave his disciples at the last supper. Here Christ knew He was going to his death yet he loved his disciples enough to comfort them. One example of the comfort Christ gave was to Thomas. Thomas said he didn't know where Christ was going or how to get there. Jesus comforted Thomas when he said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one sees the Father except through me."
The upcoming lessons I am planning are these.
       The resurrection and rapture.
What kind of bodies will we have when we are resurrected or raptured.
       The tribulation.
       The millenium reign of Christ.
The second resurrection of the non believers.
The new Heaven and the New Earth.
